Getting closer and closer to the 1 year mark. And getting closer and closer to walking! Devon can motor around the house with what I call his "lawnmower". It's only a matter of time before he can do it on his own.

Large and In Charge!
This little guy, simply put, is a bundle of energy. Everything from diaper changes, to play time, to trips in the airplane. He doesn't stop moving. Unless he's very, very tired, but even then!
He's so much fun for us. Check out the new pictures from March. New videos are soon to follow.

Some serious milestones are being hit in the little guy's life now.
For Devon's 6 month birthday, he started eating real food! His mom and dad make his food by steaming vegetables and then putting them in a food processor. Thus far, there hasn't been anything he doesn't like. Although I'm sure that will change.
Devon also started crawling in the month of February. He's an inquisitive kid and loves to explore.
He also came down with his first bad cold in late February. It's tough because you want to do something for him but there isn't much you can do. His body defenses have to fight off the bug on its own. After a few days he was back to his normal, happy self.

Devon turns 6 months old on January 11th.

Devon's First Christmas!
There may be some of you out there looking to buy Devon his very first Christmas gift, and for that, we thank you! We would like to respectfully ask though, that you steer clear of many of the toys made in China. I know this may seem like a tall order considering most everything is made in China. But with a little research, you can find some great stuff online.
With the recent scare of lead paint, PVC plastics, toxic metals, etc. we want to make sure Devon is only playing with safe toys. He's at the age where EVERYTHING goes in his mouth. So we ask that you please visit some of the following online retailers that sell only "safe" toys. There are some suggestions below.
In particular, Devon would love some teething toys that he can chew on, or perhaps a plush toy. If you would like to buy him clothes, here are some stats for him:
On Dec 11th he'll be 5 months old, and
As of late November he's 16.5 pounds and 27 inches tall.
He's rather stocky right now with somewhat thick thighs.
Perhaps that will help with sizing him properly.

We've put together this site for everyone to enjoy the birth of our new son, Devon James Taylor.
Lindsay and I feel like 2 of the luckiest people on Earth to have such a beautiful new baby.
Devon was born at 8:09pm on Wednesday, July 11th at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh PA. He weighed 8 lbs, 5ozs and was 21 inches long (or tall!)
